On July 26 at 8:25p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a man with a firearm in 6900 block of Mumford Road, Halifax. Witnesses reported a man had pulled a gun on another man. Halifax Shopping Centre Security located the man and held him for police.
Upon police arrival, the suspect a 22-year-old man, was arrested and confirmed to be in possession of a pellet handgun. Police learned the suspect was in an argument with occupants of a pickup truck and pulled out a pellet gun, then fired at the truck, damaging the rear window. No one was injured.
The suspect from Halifax, is held for court and will be facing the following charges:
- Possession of Weapons for a Dangerous Purpose.
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Mischief/Property Damage
- Breach Probation
