Police Investigate Arson - Halifax

 At 4:23 p.m. on January 1, Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency responded to a structure fire inside an apartment building in the 5500 block of Victoria Road, Halifax. Multiple callers reported seeing smoke within the building.  

Fire attended and quickly extinguished the fire. Tenants did temporarily evacuated with the fire alarm and have since returned. No one was injured. 

Fire Investigators confirmed the fire was intentionally set and the arson investigation has been turned over to police. The arson investigation is in the early stages and is ongoing.
