Police arrest robbery suspects GO#20-14954

On January 31 at approximately 9:15 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to reports of robbery at a business located at Chain Lake Drive, Halifax. An employee approached two men who were suspected of stealing products from the business. 

One of the men produced a knife, while threatening to harm the employee. There were no injuries and the suspects fled from the business in a vehicle.

During the investigation, police were able to identify the suspects who were located and arrested at a residence in Halifax just before midnight.

A 25-year-old man from Dartmouth is expected to be released to appear in court to face charges of Theft and Possession Under $5,000. A 48-year-old man from Halifax remains in custody and is expected to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 to face charges of Robbery, Uttering Threats, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
