The victim of a shooting that occurred last month in Halifax has passed away in hospital.
At 11:30 p.m. on January 26, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a man who had been shot at Connaught Avenue and Chisholm Avenue in Halifax. Officers located a man with a gunshot wound at that location. He was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, where he remained until he passed away earlier today.
At this time the cause of the man’s death has not been determined and an autopsy is to be scheduled by the Medical Examiners Service at a later date. The identity of the 31-year-old Halifax man will not be released until the cause of death has been determined, and out of respect for the family, until the family has had an opportunity to notify family members of their loved one’s death.
