The Halifax Regional Municipality, Halifax Public Libraries and the African Nova Scotian and Racially Visible Women’s Network, are inviting residents to celebrate International Women’s Day 2020 at Halifax Central Library on Monday.
The free event will celebrate women across the diversity spectrum and include a panel discussion, information booths, door prizes, entertainment, and healthy snacks. There will also be a keynote address by Eve Wedderburn, a highly engaged Grade 9 student from Oxford School who aspires to a career in dentistry.
When: Monday, March 9, 2020 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Where: Halifax Central Library, Paul O’Regan Theatre, 5440 Spring Garden Rd.

La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax, les bibliothèques publiques d’Halifax et l’African Nova Scotian and Racially Visible Women’s Network (Réseau des Néo-écossaises d’origine africaine et des femmes appartenant à une minorité visible) invitent les résidents à célébrer, lundi, la Journée internationale de la femme 2020 à la Bibliothèque centrale d’Halifax.
L’événement gratuit célébrera les femmes de tous les horizons et comprendra une table ronde, des kiosques d’information, des prix de présence, des divertissements et des collations saines. Il y aura aussi un discours principal d’Eve Wedderburn, une étudiante très engagée de 9e année de l’Oxford School qui aspire à une carrière en dentisterie.
