Police investigate suspicious fire GO#20-37156

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Halifax.

On March 22 at 1:14 a.m., Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services and Halifax Regional Police responded to reports of a suspicious fire at 32 Quartz Drive, Halifax. The backside of the residence was engulfed in flames. The lone occupant of the residence had safely exited the residence.

Police evacuated neighboring residences as firefighters extinguished the flames.

The scene was being held by police until processed and investigated.
