On April 6 at 8:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the NSLC Store located at 210 Wyse Road, Dartmouth for a break and enter in progress. A security guard working at the grocery store located next-door heard a loud smash at the NSLC Store. He went to investigate and noticed two panes of glass at the front had been smashed with a rock, which was lying in an isle inside the store. Upon further examination, he noticed a man inside the store filling up two black bags with products. The security guard immediately notified police.

When police arrived, the suspect had just exited the store and began to flee. After a short foot pursuit, the police arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen product.

A 56-year-old man from Upper Whitehead, Nova Scotia is in custody and the investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
