Police are currently investigating an assault with a weapon that took place this morning in Halifax.
On April 27 at 3:48 a.m., police responded to 1181 Hollis Street, Halifax (Westin Hotel) to a report of a man who had been assaulted with an edged weapon. The victim, an 18-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries by EHS. A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident. The victim and man in custody are known to one another.
The investigation is in its early stages and there is no word on charges at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
