Police investigate robbery GO#20-61341

On May 30 at 4:41 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Irving gas station located at 10 Highfield Park Drive, Dartmouth. A man entered the station and produced a bread knife to an employee. He then told her to empty the money from the till and give it to him or he would kill her. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money from the till. He stuffed the money in his pants pocket. The suspect was last seen leaving on foot running west on Highfield Park Drive. The employee and another off-duty employee, who was in the store, were not injured.

The suspect is described to police as a white man, his age could be in the mid 40’s range, stood at 5’10” tall with a medium build and has white facial hair. At the time, he was wearing a ball cap with a dark rim, a baggy beige ¼ zipper hooded jacket with the hood pulled up over the ball cap, white sneakers, blue baggy pants with a white stripe down the sides of the pants and two stripes around the ankles of the pants.

A member of the K-9 Unit began a track locating some of the suspects clothing.
