Police investigate motor vehicle collision GO#20-101299

UPDATE: Halifax Regional Police wishes to advise the public that Leiblin Drive in Halifax has reopened. We would like to thank the public for its patience while the collision at this location was being investigated. The investigation surrounding the accident in ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available.

On August 30 at 8:40 p.m., a car was travelling eastbound on Leiblin Drive, Halifax in the area of Birchfield Crescent when it left the road a collided with a tree. There were three occupants in the vehicle. A man and a woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries and a third woman was checked at the scene and released. Currently, members of the Accident Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section are on the scene and are continuing to investigate the accident.

Leiblin Drive is currently closed between Carnation Crescent and Avon Crescent. Investigators are expected to be on scene for several hours. An update will be sent when the street is reopened.
