Police investigate robbery & arrest suspect #20-108374

On September 15 at 12:35a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Irving gas station located at 5450 Inglis Street, Halifax. A man entered the business producing a pointed stick and demanded money from the cashier. The staff member disarmed the suspect. The suspect did not get any cash or product and fled on foot. No one involved was injured.

At 1:28a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance between two men at Inglis Street and Queen Street, Halifax. Upon arrival officers recognized one of the men as the suspect from the robbery and arrested him without incident.

The suspect, a 49-year-old man from Halifax is held for court and will be facing charges of Robbery, Breaching Probation Order and Failing to Comply with Release Orders.
