Police arrest two men in the homicide of Terrance Thomas Dixon

Investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have arrested two men in relation to the homicide of Terrance Thomas Dixon.

At approximately 8 a.m. today investigators arrested a 42-year-old Dartmouth man in the 100 block of Main Street in Dartmouth and a 42-year-old Halifax man in the 100 block of Lacewood Drive in Halifax. 

Investigators anticipate laying charges against the two men in relation to the homicide of Terrance Thomas Dixon, 47, of Halifax, that occurred earlier this summer.

On June 29, 2020 at approximately 10:20 p.m. Halifax Regional Police received a report of a stabbing that had just occurred at the Esso gas station at 6020 Young Street in Halifax. A man approached Terrance, who was in his parked vehicle, and stabbed him. The suspects fled in a vehicle which was later found abandoned in close proximity to the incident.

Terrance sustained serious injuries and was transported by EHS to the QEII Health Sciences Centre for further treatment. He succumbed to his injuries on July 4. The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and ruled Terrance’s death a homicide.

The investigation into Terrance’s murder is ongoing. Investigators ask anyone who may have information about the case to call police at 902-490-5020.
