Police investigate Break & Enter GO#20-118861

On October 7 at 9:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to Break & Enter at Brothers Meats located at 2665 Agricola Street, Halifax. Witnesses observed a woman approach Brothers Meats and throw a rock through the front window of the store. The suspect reached through the broken glass and removed the cash register from the counter. Once the cash register was removed from the store the suspect threw the cash register to the ground and smashed it open. There were no bills inside the cash register only coins. Several coins were left on the ground at the scene.

The woman fled on foot north on Agricola Street with an undisclosed amount of the stolen coins.  

The suspect is described to police as a being a white female, standing at 5’6” tall, with an athletic build and long dark hair. She was wearing a black face covering, dark gloves, black jacket, black pants and white sneakers.

Multiple police units attended the scene and actively looked for the suspect. A K-9 Unit officer attended the scene with a Police Service Dog, but there was too much pedestrian traffic in the area to deploy the service dog and locate a track of the suspect.

The investigation will be assigned to the Integrated General Investigative Section.
