On October 30 at 6:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery in progress in the parking lot of 80 Peakview Way in Bedford. A caller reported a man armed with a firearm had entered a parked vehicle and demanded money from the driver. Multiple officers responded and arrested the suspect without incident who was still inside the vehicle. The man was in possession of a firearm and knife. The driver was not injured.
A 39-year-old man is being held for court to face Robbery and Firearms charges. Police are not searching for and other suspects.
