Police investigate weapons call GO#20-129726

On November 2 at 7:58 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to report of a man with a firearm at Shoppers Drug Mart located at 5524 Spring Garden Road, Halifax. Callers reported a man placing a long gun in his pants and entering the store. The suspect left the store and boarded a Halifax Transit bus. Multiple officers responded and arrested him on the bus. 

Officers confirmed there was not a robbery, however the suspect did commit a theft. Incidental to the arrest officers seized a long barrel pellet/bb gun and items stolen from the store. A 34-year-old man is being held for court and is facing charges of Using or Imitation Firearm in the commission of an offence, Theft & Possession Under $5000 and Mischief.
