Police continue investigation of home invasion-abduction

Update: As a result of information provided by a member of the public, police have located the vehicle in the February 24 home invasion that occurred on Glen Moir Terrace in Bedford. We thank the public and the media for their assistance.

Police are continuing to investigate a home invasion-abduction that occurred last night in Bedford.

 At approximately 11:30 p.m. police responded to a report that a man had been shot in an apartment in the 0-100 block of Glen Moir Terrace in Bedford. Two men wearing dark clothing and masks shot an occupant of the apartment and abducted him in his own vehicle.

The 42-year-old victim was located by police a short distance away and he was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects and the victim’s vehicle have not been located at this time.

The victim’s vehicle is described as a white 2014 Dodge Caravan cargo van. The windows in the rear of the vehicle have been covered with white window tinting and the driver’s side window has a no-smoking decal on it.
