Police investigate Bomb Threat GO#21-30312

UPDATE: In relation to the below media release of street closures at Walmart, police have now re-opened the roadways.

Walmart has informed us of their re-opening as well.

Police members will continue to have a presence in the area for the foreseeable future but have cleared the area and business of potential risks.

On March 13 just after 8:45 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to Walmart located at 6990 Mumford Road for a Bomb Threat after police received a threatening phone call from an anonymous caller. Officers are on scene and searching the area.

 This building has been evacuated as a precaution and entrances to Walmart via Mumford Road and Chebucto Road are closed for the time being.

 The investigation into this matter is continuing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020.
