Police issued a summary offence ticket to a woman yesterday for failing to follow the Health Protection Act.
At approximately 7 p.m. police investigated a report that a woman from Halifax had not been self-isolating as required by public health regulations. Officers issued a summary offence ticket to the woman under section 71 (1) (b) of the Health Protection Act for failing to comply with the act and its regulations which carries a fine of $2,422.
