Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in two robberies that occurred in Halifax and Dartmouth earlier this week.
At approximately 1:25 p.m. on August 9 police responded to a robbery at My Son’s Place pub and grill located at 223 Wyse Road in Dartmouth. A man entered the bar, produced a knife and demanded money from an employee. The man left the bar with an amount of money. The employee was not physically injured.
At approximately 11:21 p.m. on August 9 police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Jenny’s Place Pub at 6211 Lady Hammond Road in Halifax. Staff reported two men wearing masks entered the business demanding money. One suspect threatened he had a weapon. The suspects left on foot with an amount of money, in an unknown direction of travel. No one was injured and no weapons were seen.
The first suspect is described as a man, 40-50 years of age, approximately 5’8” and heavy-set. He was wearing a baseball hat with a Toronto Blue Jays logo, a black sweater with “Canada” on the front, dark sunglasses, blue jeans, dark shoes, dark gloves and a blue disposable face mask.
The second suspect is described as a man, 30-40 years of age with a thin build. He was wearing a red mask and a black hooded shirt.
Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone with information about these incidents to call police at 902-490-5020.
