Police investigate weapons call GO#21-98483

On August 13 shortly before midnight, Halifax Regional Police responded to the Dartmouth General Hospital as a man had arrived there with a gun shot wound.

Several officers attended the hospital and learned that the victim was walking in the area of Gaston Road and Portland Street when he heard what he thought were Fireworks going off and then he realized he had been hit with a bullet. The victim then made his way to the hospital.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators with the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.  The investigation is in its preliminary stages and is ongoing.
