Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred this evening in Halifax.
On December 7 at approximately 7:52 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment building in the 500 block of Herring Cove Road, Halifax. Patrol members located two victims who had been stabbed. The victims were transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. A man is in police custody and no other persons are being sought in connection with this incident.
Police remain on scene in the area. Investigators do not believe that this is a random incident. This matter is in the early stages of the investigation and limited details are available at this time.
