Tomorrow marks the fifteenth anniversary of the murder of David Joseph Hannan and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.
At approximately 6:20 a.m. on Dec. 9, 2006, David was found lying unconscious on the pedway crossing Victoria Road in Dartmouth. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two days later on December 11, 2006.
An autopsy later determined that David was the victim of a homicide, and police believe the incident occurred where he was found. David had been with friends at a Dartmouth residence the previous night.
Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve David’s murder. They are asking anyone with information to do the right thing and come forward with what they know; what may seem like an insignificant detail could be the key to progressing the investigation into David’s murder.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
David’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes.
