Police investigate convenience store robbery GO #22-4266

Police are investigating a robbery at a convenience store in Halifax.

At approximately 2:02 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the Needs Convenience Store, 6130 Chebucto Road. Upon arrival, police confirmed that a robbery had just occurred at that location. The two suspects threatened store employee, however, no weapons were seen. The suspects left the store with an amount of cash and cigarettes, and fled the area on foot, headed down Windsor Street towards Quinpool Road. The store employee was not physically injured.

The first suspect is described as a white man wearing a black jacket, a white and black plaid hat, blue jeans and white sneakers. The second suspect is described as a white man, wearing a red sweater with a hood, a black jacket, a white face mask, navy sweat pants and black sneakers with white soles.

A Halifax Regional Police K9 team assisted with search of surrounding area, however, the suspects were not located.
