Police respond to suspected drowning
On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 8:02 p.m., Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Fire and Emergency responded to King’s Wharf, Dartmouth, for a report of a missing swimmer. Witnesses reported an adult man had gone under water and could not be located. A joint response was quickly conducted by officers and firefighters, but unfortunately they were unable to locate the man.
Halifax Regional Police with the assistance of the RCMP dive team will be in the area in attempt to locate the man. The identity of the man is not being released at this time. More information will be provided when available.
