Police Investigate Break & Enter and Arrest Suspect

At 12:12 a.m., Halifax Regional Police and a Police Service Dog responded to a report of a Break & Enter in progress at Famous Curry Garden, 5687 Charles Street, Halifax. Callers reported two suspects in black attempting to break into the restaurant. 

Officers arrived within minutes and confirmed the business was insecure. Officers located and arrested a 63-year-old man inside a secure parking lot without incident. Patrol officers and a Police Service Dog searched the area but were unable to locate the second suspect. The suspect is described as:

Suspect – woman, unknown ethnicity, wearing a black winter jacket and hat.

A 63-year-old man from Halifax is held for court and is facing the following charges: Attempted Break & Enter, Possession of Break Instruments.
