Police have charged the driver in a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred last week in Halifax.

On October 21 at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to a vehicle pedestrian collision at the intersection of Hollis Street and Terminal Road. The driver of a freightliner truck was southbound on Hollis Street and proceeded through the stop sign at the intersection. The vehicle then struck an 83-year-old woman who was using a mobility scooter in the crosswalk. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment of what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
