UPDATE: Police are no longer on scene of the search on the Bedford Highway in Halifax. The investigation is ongoing. We thank the public for their patience and cooperation.

Police operation in progress
Police are conducting a search at a motel in the 300 block of the Bedford Highway in Halifax, in relation to an ongoing investigation.
A number of members are on scene completing the search. There is no threat to public safety. We ask members of the public to use alternate routes and avoid the area to allow officers to conduct the search and investigation.
