Herring Cove road: both outbound lanes and one inbound lane have been re-opened to traffic.
Officers will remain on scene most of the day, more information will be released by the Public Information Officer when available.
Police investigate suspicious death
Halifax Regional Police are on scene of a suspicious death in Halifax.
Shortly after 8 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured person inside a residence in the 400-block of Herring Cove Rd.
Responding officers located a man who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the incident.
Herring Cove Rd remains closed to all traffic between Drysdale Road and Sussex St.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages. Additional information will be released when available. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 902-490-5020.
