Police continue search for missing person Joseph Lauren Veinot

 Halifax Regional Police, Halifax Search and Rescue and the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables will be searching the area of Kidston Lake and Long Lake for 44-year-old Joseph Lauren Veinot. The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables helicopter will be in the area as part of the search.

We are asking the public to remain out of the area to allow the search to be conducted.

 Joseph Lauren Veinot was reported missing to police on May 7 and was last seen on May 6 in the Spryfield area of Halifax. He is described as approximately 5’9” tall, 165 lbs., shaved head and blue eyes. He was wearing white loafer style shoes, jeans and a red sweater with "East Coast Lifestyle" on the chest.

There is no information to suggest that Joseph has met with foul play, however, police and his family are concerned for his well-being.
