Update: Suspect identified and charges laid in connection with sexual assault
Police have charged a man in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in Halifax on June 28.
On June 28, police received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. at Value Village located at 165 Chain Lake Drive. While inside the store, a man sexually assaulted a female youth who was not known to him. He then fled the store.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and is facing charges of sexual assault and exposure to a person under the age of 16.
The man is scheduled to appear in court on August 14, 2023.
