Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who approached a girl earlier today in Halifax.
Yesterday at 1 p.m., police were advised that at 11:52 a.m., a 13-year-old girl was walking on Prescott Street, near Duffus Street, when she noticed that a man was following her. She continued to walk toward the corner of Duffus Street and Agricola Street, she was walking quickly, and the man did not continue to follow her. The girl did not know the man, she returned to her school Highland Park School located at 3479 Robie Street. The girl advised school staff who called the police.
The man is described as a in his 30s, approximately 5’10” in height, wearing black jeans, a black winter hat described as a “beanie”, dark sunglasses, and carrying a black backpack.
