Police request public assistance in assault investigation

Halifax Regional Police is investigating an assault that occurred in downtown Halifax.

On June 23 at approximately 1:50 a.m. officers responded to a report of two people injured in the 1600 block of Argyle Street. Officers located two people who had been assaulted by a group of people who were not known to them.

The investigation is ongoing. Investigators are urging anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call police at 902-490-5020.
