The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road construction will begin Sunday and continue until November 10 on Kempt Road (between Commission and Young streets), Stairs Street (between Kempt Road and Massachusetts Avenue) and Columbus Street (between Kempt Road to Massachusetts Avenue).
Crews will be on site from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. every Sunday to Thursday for the duration of the project. Full road closures at all locations begin Tuesday at 9 p.m. and will continue for the duration of the project.
Work will also take place during daytime hours, as needed. Roads will not be closed during the day, but lanes drops will be in place.
Motorists can expect delays in the area and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.
