Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Sackville Street in Halifax will remain closed to vehicular traffic until the end of this week to facilitate ongoing work on a development project in the area.

The street is closed between Market Street and Grafton Street and is now expected to reopen at approximately 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20. Pedestrians will continue to have access to the sidewalk along one side of Sackville Street throughout the closure.

Additional rolling street closures on sections of streets bordering this development project, including Sackville Street, Market Street and Prince Street, are anticipated over the next four to five weeks to enable the installation of underground infrastructure. Additional Public Service Announcements with specific locations and times will be communicated as available. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this street closure or the associated work may cause.
