GO# 15-171561 - Police investigating robbery

On December 3 at 6:11 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the boardwalk near 1496 Lower Water Street in Halifax for a robbery. The victim, a 21-year old woman, stated she was walking northbound on the boardwalk when she was pushed to the ground from behind. The suspect pulled her purse off her shoulder and fled. The purse is described as a black shoulder bag with a white Bentley logo and contained cash and personal items. The area was checked but the suspect could not be located. 

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, 5'10", athletic build, wearing a Tap Out zip up hooded sweater with dark pants and a white flat brim hat. 

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call 902-490-5016. Similarly, if anyone has observed similar suspicious activity in the area, they are encouraged to report the incident to police.
