At 9 p.m. on November 21, Halifax Regional Police received numerous calls of an assault in the 5500 block of Spring Garden Road. An intoxicated 16-year-old female, without provocation, randomly assaulted three females and a male victim. Several police officers responded and arrested the suspect who resisted arrest and spit in an officer’s face. None of the victims were seriously injured. One victim attended the hospital for a bloodied nose and was treated and released.
The suspect was held for court later today; charged with assault x 4, resist arrest, and assault police. The accused was already on two court orders and will also be charged with breach of her condition of no alcohol.
