The Halifax Regional Municipality urban design team, in collaboration with various organizations representing local design professionals, has initiated an awards program to celebrate urban design excellence in Halifax.
The 2018 Halifax Urban Design Awards (UDA) will increase the public’s awareness of the great projects that design professionals have contributed to the Halifax region in recent years.
Urban design helps to build better communities by improving the municipality’s functionality, sustainability and overall appearance – making a lasting impact on future generations of visitors and residents.
Designers, developers, sponsors, and owners of projects selected as award winners will receive an Award of Excellence or Honourable Mention in one of five categories.
Categories include:
• Urban Design
• Urban Architecture
• Civic Design Projects
• Urban Elements
• Community Connections & Initiatives
Deadline for submissions: Jan. 31, 2018
