Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be completing the final paving on Quinpool Road beginning the morning of Saturday, December 2nd.
This work will require the closure of two lanes of Quinpool Road from Woodlawn Terrace to Kline Street (see map below). The lane closures will take place starting 7a.m. Saturday, December 2nd (weather permitting) and will continue until the paving is completed, approximately 5 p.m. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in the work zone. In the event of inclement weather, the work will be completed Sunday December 3rd.
The sidewalk in the work zone will remain open. Metro Transit will not be affected by this closure.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
