Break and Enter with Weapon GO#17-185566

At approximately 12:45 p.m. on December 9, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 300 block of Windmill Road, Dartmouth. The suspect was armed with a bat, forced his way into an apartment and assaulted the resident. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim, a 33 -year-old man, was transported to the hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. It is believed the suspect and victim are known to one another. The suspect is described as a black male, 50-years-old, thin build, approximately 5'6" to 5'9" tall and was wearing a red and white sweater.

Officers are searching for the suspect. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are currently investigating.
