Work has begun on the restoration of exterior walls and fencing around St. Paul’s Church, next to Halifax City Hall.

Recognized as a National Historic Site, a portion of the ironstone wall and cast iron fence, located at 1749 Argyle Street, between Prince and Duke streets, will be repaired and restored, to prevent further deterioration.

This work is part of a multi-phase project aimed at restoring certain exterior elements of Halifax City Hall and Grande Parade Square and is funded in part by Parks Canada.

Work is expected to be complete by the end of March.
