UPDATE: Woman and man face numerous charges after robberies
A woman and a man from Halifax are to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face numerous charges in relation robberies that occurred January 16 in Halifax.
Eighteen-year-old Florangie Moncayo-Adams of Halifax is charged with two counts robbery and one count each of home invasion, theft over $5000 and possession of stolen property over $5000. Twenty-three-year-old Gregory Hayes of Halifax is charged with two counts each of robbery, home invasion, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and breach of court orders and one count each of using an imitation firearm during an offence, threats, harassment, theft over $5000 and possession of stolen property over $5000. The second man noted in the release below was released without charges.

Police arrest two men and a woman after two robberies
Halifax Regional Police arrested two men and a woman early this morning in relation to robberies that occurred last night in Halifax.
At 10:29 p.m. police responded to a robbery call at Needs located at 5881 Duffus Street. A man entered the store and selected two beverages from the cooler. As the man approached the counter he pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register. The clerk refused and the man left the store with the beverages, knocking a display case off the counter.
At 11:48 p.m. police responded to a report of a robbery at the Ultramar located at 2816 Gottingen Street. A man entered the store, selected a beverage from the cooler and approached the counter. When the clerk opened the register the man slammed an axe on the counter and demanded cash, fleeing the store with an undisclosed sum of money.
Members of Patrol and The West and Central Quick Response Unit, began an investigation and determined the same man, who is known to them, was responsible for both robberies and that he had arrived and fled the scenes in a white vehicle. The vehicle was located by police in a parking lot at an apartment building in the 2400 block of Gottingen Street.
Through the course of the investigation, officers determined the man entered and exited a building in the 2300 block of Gottingen Street, with a woman known to them. The woman was taken into custody inside the apartment building. The man, along with another man also believed to be involved in the robberies, were taken into custody without incident a short time later.
Members of the General Investigative Division are interviewing an 18-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 35-year-old man in relation to the robberies. The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected.
