  • Delthia Miller received the Civilian Employee of the Year award for her diligent work as a Volunteer Coordinator with the Community Relations and Crime Prevention Unit.
  • Detective Constable Carol Campbell-Waugh received the HRP Achievement Award for her long-lasting commitment to HRP and our community.

His teammates and supervisors admire his reliability, competence, strong ethics and self-motivation. Cst. Roache is always professional and courteous when dealing with co-workers, victims, witnesses, and offenders – he treats everyone with respect.

The evening, generously sponsored by the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel and Oland Brewery, also represented an opportunity to applaud employees who retired in 2017. Sixteen police officers and five civilian employees were recognized for their years of service. They departed Halifax Regional Police with 593 years of combined service.

We salute our 2017 award winners and retirees for their dedication to policing, public safety and our community.
