At 11:35 p.m. on May 29, Halifax Regional Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police Integrated Drug Unit executed a controlled drugs & substance act search warrant in the 10 block of Franklyn Street in Dartmouth. Officers seized a quantity of narcotics (pills and a powder believed to be cocaine), drug paraphernalia including scales, a conducted energy weapon and a quantity of cash.
Police arrested a 53-year-old woman and 54-year-old man from the residence. Both are held for court in Dartmouth and will be facing charges of trafficking controlled substances and weapons related offences.
