At 11:45 p.m. on June 1, officers responded to the area of Gaston Road and Portland Street in relation to a male who had been stabbed. The 23-year-old man was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The incident is being investigated by the Integrated General Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Division. The investigation is still ongoing and we do not believe it was a random act of violence.
