Halifax Regional Police has arrested a second man in connection with robbery that occurred on July 10 in Halifax.
At 5 a.m., police responded to a robbery in progress at the Irving gas station located at 2499 Robie Street in Halifax. Two men entered the business and one of the men produced a knife and demanded money, cigarettes and other store products. The suspects fled on foot with the items prior to police arrival. The clerk was not injured during the incident.
Numerous police units and a K9 team searched the area and found items taken from the robbery that led them to the Commons Inn located at 5780 West Street. Two men and a woman were taken into custody for the robbery.
Officers with the General Investigative Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested and charged 31-year-old-Harry Cope of Millbrook with robbery and breach of a recognizance. He appeared in Halifax Provincial Court on July 11. Investigators determined that the other man and the woman were not involved in the robbery and they were released without charges.
On July 26, Truro police arrested a Debert man in relation to the investigation. Officers with the General Investigation Section travelled to Elmsdale and took the man into custody. Twenty-nine-year-old Brandon Little is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today on charges of robbery and breach of a recognizance.
