Police Continue to Investigate the Murder of William Allan MacDonald
Fifteen years ago, William MacDonald was murdered in Dartmouth and investigators with the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to investigate his death.
At 10:45 p.m. on July 9, 2003, officers responded to a report of a suspicious death and found 62-year-old William Allan MacDonald shot to death in his apartment on Jackson Road in Dartmouth. The investigation confirmed that he had been murdered in his residence. William often had visitors and it is possible that he may have been murdered by someone known to him.
William and his loved ones deserve justice. Investigators believe there are people who have information about his murder that could help advance the investigation. They are asking those people to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
