On July 22 at 11:35 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a single motor vehicle crash in the 500 block of Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. A motorist attempted to avoid a raccoon who was crossing the street and in doing so lost control and struck a power pole. The power pole was broken, but the incident did not result in any power loss. There were no injuries, including the raccoon.
