At 10:21 a.m. on July 22, Halifax Regional Police received a report of a robbery that occurred in the area of Church Street and Morris Street in Halifax. Patrol members along with a K-9 Unit member conducted an investigation and attempted to locate the suspect. No weapons were used during the robbery. While attempting to locate the suspect a report was received of a theft that had occurred in the are of the 5500 block of Fenwick Street in Halifax. The description provided to police was the same as the suspect in the previous robbery. The suspect was located at South Park Street and Victioria Road and a foot chase ensued with the suspect. The suspect was arrested a short period of time after hiding on the front steps of an address in the 5500 block of Inglis Street. No one was injured during the incident and the suspect was able to get an undisclosed amount of cash during both the robbery and the theft. 

The suspect will appear I court on July 23 in Halifax. Halifax Regional Police would like to thank the citizens in the area who provided assistance in locating the suspect during the incident.
