A man arrested yesterday morning for a robbery in Halifax has also been charged in two other Halifax robberies.

Halifax Regional Police has charged an 18-year-old Halifax man in connection with three street-level robberies that happened in and around the downtown and South End of Halifax on August 11, August 30 and September 14.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on August 11, officers responded to a robbery in the area of Victoria Road. A 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old-woman were approached by a man while walking in the area. The suspect produced a knife and demanded money and cell phones. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and fled the area on foot.

On August 31 at approximately 4 p.m., the complainant reported to police that on the evening of August 30 a man holding a knife forced him into the ATM lobby of a bank located on George Street and demanded he withdraw money. The victim withdrew a sum of money and turned it over to the suspect who then fled on foot.

Yesterday at approximately 12:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Morris and Brenton Streets in Halifax. Two men, age 31 and 32 from Ontario, were walking along Morris Street when they were approached by another man who asked them for cigarettes. The man then demanded their cash and produced a knife, thrusting it toward them. The victims were able to flee the area without being injured or turning over any money. An 18-year-old man, from Halifax, was located by patrol officers on Morris Street near South Park Street and arrested without incident.

Cameron Mason Parsons appeared in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday morning to face robbery and weapons charges for all three incidents. He is to appear in court again on September 16.
