Motor vehicle & motorcycle collision

The driver of the motorcycle involved in a collision last night in Dartmouth has died.

At 8:50 p.m. last night, police responded to the intersection of Main Street and Ridgecrest Drive in Dartmouth to a report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Halifax Regional Police would like to extend sincere sympathies to his family and friends during this difficult time.

The matter is being investigated by the HRP Accident Investigation Unit. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5016.

At 8:50 p.m. on August 20, police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Main Street and Ridgecrest Drive in Dartmouth. The motorcycle driver, a 25-year-old man,  was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. While HRP's Accident Investigation Unit was on scene, the police had the intersection closed down.
